Some recent history of the Bookpost
The
shop that is now the Bookpost was built in the 1960's, it has changedseveral time since then. In about 2005 it was bought by Rob and
Felicity Bleckly. Rob is a published author himself and has a
considerable interest in books. As well as continuing as the town's Post Office, They made it a very well repected Bookshop, Internet Cafe and Coffee Shop, but were forced to sell by ill health.
In 2007 it was purchased by the Challis family through Adcocks Real Estate
and has been run for the last two years by Erik Andersson and Marjorie
Challis. They moved to Sweden. Michael, Kathy, Cora and Steve Challis are
now running The bookpost and intend to continue to improve it.
The Bookpost now
sells a range of animal feeds and pet products. Note that it is a
seperate business from Betta Trading and not all the prices are the
same.
